Stuttgart metropolitan region: JW Investment Holding purchases Deutsche Bank headquarters in Göppingen

  • JW Investment Holding has purchased the plot with the Deutsche Bank headquarters at Mörikestraße 9 in Göppingen.
  • A comprehensive redevelopment is planned for the existing building.

Göppingen, August 18, 2022 | JW Investment Holding has purchased the almost 1,400 sqm property at Mörikestraße 9 in Göppingen on the eastern entrance to the pedestrian zone directly opposite the new “Agnes” shopping center. The property is currently home to an existing building from 1975 that contains the headquarters of Deutsche Bank. The approx. 2,300 sqm floor area will be completely renovated in terms of energy efficiency in the near future. JW Investment Holding is also planning to extend the existing building to approx. 4,000 sqm in order to create urgently needed living space in Göppingen. Currently, around 50 percent of the property is rented by Deutsche Bank, which intends to remain at the location. The planning process has already begun following initial discussions with the local authorities. The well-known architectural firm Werkgemeinschaft HHK from Stuttgart is responsible for the architectural planning.

Combining living and working in Göppingen
Göppingen is located in one of the strongest economic regions in Germany. Dynamic development can also be expected in the coming years. The immediate surroundings of the property are developing very positively. The neighboring 23,000 sqm “Agnes” shopping center in the eastern part of the pedestrian zone will open this year. A new city quarter is planned to the south. “We are looking forward to giving Mörikestraße 9 a new shine and combining living and working in the center of Göppingen. We will redevelop and extend the property in the spirit of sustainability, combining innovative ecological materials and state- of-the-art technology. We want to significantly optimize energy efficiency and install a green facade facing Mörikestraße”, explains the managing partner of JW Investment Holding, Jan Watzl.

JW Investment Holding was advised by the law firm Rodewoldt Legal & Consultancy from Stuttgart and the tax consultancy Trewitax from Singen. The property was brokered by E&G Real Estate GmbH from Stuttgart.
